Elijah Smith is a 2027 linebacker out of Westwood HS in Columbia, SC, with the frame and force to project as a physical presence at the next level. At 6'1 and 220 pounds, he carries a downhill build that fits the LB spot and gives him flexibility to slide to the edge as a secondary defensive end. The weight-room numbers tell the story. A 385-pound bench, 540-pound squat, and 425-pound power clean point to a rare power foundation for his age — the kind of explosive strength that shows up shedding blocks and finishing at the point of contact. His 9.0 broad jump backs up that lower-body power. The 4.9 forty gives him functional range for the position, and there's room to sharpen that as he continues to develop. Off the field, Smith carries a 3.4 GPA, adding academic stability to a physically loaded profile. With a strong power base already in place, he projects as a high-upside developmental defender worth tracking as his senior film builds.
