922 yards, 17 touchdowns, and a Marshall offer: 2028 TE Lucas Lambert

Seventeen receiving touchdowns in a season would headline most high school careers. Lucas Lambert did it as a sophomore.

The 2028 tight end out of Logan High School (Logan, WV) finished his 2025 sophomore season with 922 receiving yards and 17 receiving touchdowns β€” production that earned him first-team all-state honors and made him one of the most productive underclassman pass-catchers in West Virginia. He checks in at 6'3", 229 pounds, with a 4.62 forty, a 35-inch vertical, and a 4.39 shuttle.

The offer sheet

Three programs have already extended offers: Marshall, Glenville State, and Concord. An in-state FBS offer before your junior season changes the math of a recruitment β€” it means a college staff has already done the evaluation and liked what it saw. For every other program deciding whether Lambert is worth a summer evaluation slot, that work now comes with a reference.

A tight end with receiver production

At 229 pounds, Lambert's numbers read like a wide receiver's. That's the profile college offenses are hunting for at the position β€” a flex tight end who forces a coverage decision on every snap. Too big for a safety, too fast for most linebackers, and the touchdown total says he finishes. The weight room backs up the frame: a 285 bench, 415 squat, and 455 deadlift.

What coaches should watch this fall

Junior film is decision film β€” it's what staffs are holding when winter call lists get built. Lambert enters 2026 with all-state hardware, verified testing numbers, and an FBS offer already in hand. A junior season anywhere near his sophomore production moves the conversation from whether he's a next-level player to which level gets him.

His film, verified numbers, and full profile are all in one place.
