Most recruiting stories start with a junior film drop. This one starts four years early.

Teagen People, a class of 2030 wide receiver at Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA), is 6'3", 180 pounds with a 4.00 GPA, a 4.62 forty, and a 36-inch vertical — and fourteen college offers already listed on his profile.

The board

The offer list reads like a Saturday television schedule: UCLA, Miami, Auburn, Kentucky, Colorado, California, Arizona, Syracuse, Tulsa, UNLV, San Diego State, Colorado State, Sacramento State, and Delaware State. The earliest of them landed in January 2025. The most recent, California, arrived in May 2026 — which means this is not a single hot weekend that got stale. Programs have been adding themselves to the list steadily for a year and a half.

The frame

6'3" and 180 pounds is the reason. Length at receiver is the one trait that never gets coached in, and college staffs recruit it earlier than anything else on the field because they know exactly what it becomes after four years of a college weight program. The 36-inch vertical attached to that frame is what turns height into catch radius — the difference between a tall receiver and a receiver defensive backs cannot reach.

The 4.62 forty says he is not merely long. The 225-pound bench and 365-pound squat say the strength work started early too.

The résumé

He was named an Under Armour 8th Grade All-American in September 2025. National camps and combines are where recruiting boards this young actually get built — a staff cannot evaluate a middle school Friday night, but it can watch a kid test and compete against the best players in his age group. That selection is why the offers came before the film library did.

A 4.00 GPA is worth saying out loud here. Every one of those fourteen programs has an admissions office, and several of them have a genuinely selective one. Starting high school with a perfect GPA means People never has to recover ground academically — the recruitment stays about football.

What to watch

Freshman year is the first real evaluation. Offers made off testing and camp reps get re-underwritten the moment there is varsity tape to grade, and the 2030 class is a long way from signing day. But the frame, the vertical, and the transcript are already exactly what fourteen staffs decided they wanted a four-year head start on.
